Beware of Rental Fraud Attempts

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that there are/have been several fraud attempts when renting in nearby Brfs. As far as we know, this has not happened in our association yet. Both owners of homes and tenants have been affected by these fraud attempts.

The attempts have been made through stolen identities with people pretending to be someone else to try to gain access to keys to the home. Fake ads with low rents have also been posted via the Qasa ad platform. Check their site as well as other rental sites such as Blocket to make sure that your home is not advertised there.

Tips to help avoid this:

• Keep track of who you rent to and make sure to verify their identity
• Do not hand out keys or keyfobs before you have received a deposit and checked identification documents
• Immediately report to the board lost keys or keyfobs
